Nuh, August 15: Commissioner of Faridabad Anupama has said that the Independence Day festival inspires us to strengthen the unity of the nation while promoting brotherhood between each section of the society and to maintain the dignity of the person. He said that today is the glorious day of the nation. The entire country is celebrating Independence Day. All the sections of the country and the state take a pledge to maintain mutual brotherhood and unity of the country on the occasion of this holy festival.
Faridabad Commissioner G. Anupama said this after hoisting the National Flag at the district level Independence Day function organized by the Mewat Administration in YMD College here on Wednesday. On this occasion, he took the parade salute. Earlier, he came to pay tribute to the martyr’s memorial at Khedla village. Earlier he paid flowers to the martyr’s memorial and bowed down to the martyrs. Giving his message to the residents, he said that today the country is celebrating 72nd Independence Day.
He said that our nation can never forget the sacrifices of thousands of heroes like Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Ram Prasad Bismill, Ashfaq Ullah Khan, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Chandrasekhar Azad, Lala Lajpat Rai, who gave freedom to the country. Many patriotic noblemen and activists, including Swami Vivekananda, Shyamaprasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, Iron Man Vallabh Bhai Patel, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, have been playing an important role in the advancement of the country.
He said that Nation Bhagat like Shaheed Hassan Khan was also born on this side who did not associate Babar with Rana Say for the sake of the country. He said that land of Mewat is a land of heroes and during the revolution of 1857 the martyrdom of the people here can not be forgotten. Many people had martyrdom from one village each. Agarjho had hanged 52 people on the same day in Shahepur Nangli village.
He said that today our country has been 71 years of independence. Impressed by the miraculous leadership and far-reaching inspirational thoughts of the country’s most favored Prime Minister today the youth of the country is playing a vital role in the formation of a nation. Haryana Chief Minister is also working hard and passionately for the overall development of the state. The Commissioner said that Mewat has been declared the most backward district of the country by the Policy Commission, which is a matter of concern for us. The stigma of this backwardness must be eradicated with the collective efforts. Education is the most powerful medium for this. Efforts are being made to bring the benefits of the Center and the state government public welfare to the last person in this area. The State Government has run public welfare projects for the development of this area of approximately 3500 crore. This year, the education of science subjects has been started in three colleges in Mewat and the beginning of a PG college is also a commendable step in the education of the state government for this region.
Commissioner Anupama said that the government has paid more attention to the development of the Mewat area. Construction of Mewat Phidder, Canal will be constructed at a cost of approximately Rs. 700 crores. In order to overcome the backwardness of the Mewat region, the benefit of the public welfare schemes of the Central Government is being provided to the people of this district on the basis of first priority. The KMP and the new express highway, which will increase from the Delhi to Mudra till the highway-Mumbai, will raise the living standards of the people here. Work is being taken under renovation based drinking water enrichment scheme for 80 villages of Ferozepur Giricha and Nagina block at a cost of approximately Rs. 263 crores. State Una College and Hospital Bhawan will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 45 crores 43 lacs 81 thousand in village Akadeda. Work will be made available to the 17 villages surrounding Shaheed Hassan Khan Mewati Government Medical College, Nalhad, Nuh Town and Nuhh block at a cost of about 150 crore rupees.
He said that the State Government, after honoring the sacrifice and struggle of the mother tongue Satyagrahi, has decided to give life and death for their widows after life and death of Rs. 10 thousand rupees per month. He said that the present government has taken a historic step to implement the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme to relieve farmers from the disadvantage of crop failure. In order to make the farmers get the beneficial value of crops and make them risk-free, the country’s first ‘Bhawant-compensatory scheme’ has been implemented for horticulture crops.
He said that the central government has made unprecedented increase in the minimum support price of kharif crops.
